You can say what you want about coaching, coming together as a team, etc. but from a sheer talent perspective, FVU 10s will be as loaded as anyone in the area in the fall. If they don’t win, it’s not because VDA, Arlington or Loudoun has better players.

Union 10 is a good team. Not a great team. Why do you continue to discredit other local teams? Union isn’t even the outright best 2010 team in NOVA or DMV.

Bethesda and VDA are both better teams but don’t necessarily have the players that have grown early.

One thing people fail to discuss here is how much money these Union parents are pouring into their kids outside of the team. Does the Brave group do this as well? If they don’t they better start because this stuff is about to get very complex.

Wait, NVA, with their losing record and -17 GD is better than Union, with nearly 4x as many wins as losses, and a +46 GD?

Jeff Cup was 2 months ago. Union won the top flight, VDA didn’t even make the final in the second flight, and NVA didn’t make the final in the 4th.

Didn’t VDA go winless in WAGs this year? It feels like we’re jumping the gun on other teams ascending over Union here.

VDA played Brave, BSC, and Ukrainian Nationals in WAGs. Given 2 of the 3 are being discussed here, it seems like a fair comparison. You can say it was a long time ago, but it’s a head to head result from this season. You have to draw the line somewhere, and ECNL keeps season standings for a reason.

Other head to head results from this season

- Losses to CSA by a combined 5 goals across 2 games.
- 4-0 loss to Brave in the first game. Tie in the second.
- A tie against Arlington and a 1 goal win over Union.

Didn’t VDA also lose badly to FCV in the fall? I have nothing against them, but this feels like recency bias based on a single 1 goal victory, and ignoring September through March.
