How many applications are people sending out for middle school?

Talking to friends (around the area) and neighbors (we are in the Westland MS district) it seems like there is a spike in applications for middle school at many of the private schools this year. Obviously 6th and 7th grades are big entry years anyway. But just seems like I am hearing about a lot of applications - does anybody else have a sense of this?

1. We found the perfect school for DC. And his standardized test scores were 98/99th percentile.

PP I hope you get in. But remember scores aren't everything.

A lot of kids have those scores.

You don't say what the school is so maybe you can be confident but if you are looking at Sidwell/Maret/GDS/STA/Field (which has been difficult to get into lately and doesn't take kids they think are just using it as a safety for Sidwell) this may not have been wise.

Sent 1 last year. Big 3. SSAT score average 89. High part score about 97. Low part score 79. Admitted. Don't believe the hype about everyone having 99 scores. If you have a kid with a good personality who is a good fit for the school, you will get in. The interviews matter. And what matters is to be not rehearsed. Genuine answers are the best.

You should add WES to your middle school listed. Our child entered In middle school and is thriving there.
