LGBT Parent Groups

Is anyone aware of any list-serves/support groups/other for gay and lesbian parents? We recently adopted and would love to connect with other parents!

Where are you located?

We belong to one on meetup.com Its called the Maryland LGBT parents group. They are not very active though. They have a lot of members but mainly do outdoor meetups in the nice weather.

Lesbian mom in DC and also interested in LGBT playgroups. I can never find a whole lot on the Rainbow Families site, though. I'd love to find something a little more frequent. Looks like the only upcoming event is that dance, and since our kid isn't even 2 yet, I think that's out for us.

Sort of a different question. I am a straight mom of a gay son. Any online groups for people like me.

I' happy he decided to come out to us at 14. We are very supportive and love him to pieces. I just don't know any other moms in this situation.

Everyone goes to the dance, regardless of the age of your kid. Bring your almost 2 year old. You'll connect with other toddler parents.

So, I know tons of lesbian parents and none that I know do this. Can you tell us about the dance? Intrigued and always looking for great things to do and ways to connect, but very busy with teens and almost teen kids.

Don't know about the local chapters, but PFLAG groups are the gold standard of working with parents of gay kids and helping them and supporting them navigate everything
