Revenge - should I watch it again?

Anonymous
I watched it until the first episode this season, which just annoyed me. Is it worth it to get caught up? I have this season (thus far) on my DVR but don't really want to watch it if it is terrible.

Thoughts?

I finally admitted to dh that I still watch revenge. I was ashamed because really it's such a sh$t of a show now. I'm so tired of it but I feel like I've invested all this time.

So no you're not missing anything.

i stopped watching in the middle of last season because it was so annoying and complete waste of my time. Do not go back. You can always catch up this summer when this season's episodes get posted to Netflix.

OP here - thanks! I'm still mad that I invested so much time watching Lost because I despised the entire last season.

I feel the same way. I've watched it since the very beginning and now it's almost a chore to continue, but I just want to know how it's all going to wrap up so I can be done with it, already!! This has to be the last season, right?

I think that it went down hill but I am still watching. I think this season is a lot better then last season and I'm really getting back into it again.

Don't do it. This season is really awful. It's like the writers didn't see the previous seasons. (I did think Sunday night's episode was getting back to the good old days, but then the scenes from next week reminded me of how terrible it all is...)

I certainly hope so. When he said something like, "is your revengey sense tingling" I almost died from embarrassment- for everyone involved in the show.

There are so, so many reasons to continue to hate-watch revenge I can't even imagine why you wouldn't.

1. The fabulous outfits.
2. Watching the spectacle of decent actors going through goofy dialogue.
3. Monitoring the progress of Victoria's Botox injections (or the actress who plays Victoria, I guess)
4. seeing how many polo shirts Nolan can wear at the same time (yes Nolan's clothes are their own reason)
5. Trying to guess what career Jack is going to pick up next, or, who he is going to have sex with. The man likes variety in all aspects of his life.

And so on and so forth.

So true. Those are all good reasons, esp. the outfits. Has anyone ever noticed Victoria's lines are like something out of a torrid novella? Even the very simplest remarks are oh-so-formal and overwrought. I feel sorry for Madeleine Stowe, having to utter those ridiculous lines. Also, Nolan's lines are utterly 'ridic,' as he might say. He overacts so much, it's painful.
As an aside, Madeleine Stowe is one of the most gorgeous women I've ever seen.

OP here. I think the (spoiler alert, I guess?) big reveal that David Clarke was alive really bothered me. So I didn't want to watch more of the show after he arrived on the scene. I also really hate Daniel.

I am going to keep it on my DVR for now and ponder if seeing the fashion and hearing the crazy lines is enough to get me to watch again. And this is from someone who is a diehard daytime soap opera fan

I'm still watching. OP, I think based on your comment at 08:33, you'll like the rest of this season. Watch it over the summer when there isn't anything else, or catch up now. You'll enjoy it more than you might think.
