How much do you pay for Strattera?

How much do you pay for strattera? Is it cheaper at some pharmacies than others? Are there any discount cards that work with it? My insurance pays 50% but it is still quite expensive - $180/month. Hoping there is some way to bring the cost down.

You can go to Canada and buy the generic- but it won't save you a ton.

When it looked like we had to foot the entire bill, I couldn't find anything that was less than ~$400 per month- any introductory first month cost. It goes off patent for adult in 2016 and off patent for children in May of 2017. Until then, expect to pay high costs. There will be a tested generic available at that time -it is currently available outside of the US, but it isn't cheap either.

Thanks, PP! I had no idea it was going off patent so soon. Huge relief knowing there is an end in sight.
