Where to stay in Lancaster with 2 kids?

We'd like someplace nice for the 4 of us that doesn't have too many breakable knick and knacks (I guess B&Bs are out). Any recommendations? We're going to the Thomas the Train event in Strasburg in June so someplace near Strasburg would be great. TIA!

We stayed at the Amish View Inn last summer and it was nice. Kids really liked it. The only downside was that our suite had a shower but no bath. I don't know if all the suites are like that. Other than that, we had a good experience.

Wilow valley Resort - they have a cute indoor water playground, a great outdoor playground, and an onsite restaurant. Plus we found a great rate of $99/night on Orbitz last year.

We're going to see Thomas as well. I've been looking at the Howard Johnson with a Carribean Water park. It seems to get good reviews, but I've never been there, so can't comment directly.

Also loved country inn and suites, the one that's right across the street from dutch wonderland. Having a 2 room suite is awesome, and if I'm remembering correctly, the rooms have mini fridges.
