Did you check the Barefoot Contessa's recipe? I made it once (albeit with nuts but I'm sure you can eliminate those) and it came out very tasty. Was easy to make.

Im thinking about this recipe that is oats, rice cereal, dry fruit, and honey. It just seems like it is supposed to be healthy anf that combination sound odd. Anyone got any tips?

The main problem is getting the consistency of peanut butter or sunbutter without using copious amounts of honey.

I know you asked about bars but could you just make granola and package it in snack sized bags? I am actually just taking a batch out of the oven...we use oats, honey, vanilla, and butter. Then people can add in whatever they want...dried fruit, chocolate chips, etc.

Omit the nuts and substitute sunbutter for the nut butter:
