How Soon to do a Home Pregnancy Test - I just can't wait any longer

Anonymous
I had my ET last Wednesday. It's only been one week. But I just can't stand this 2ww. It's killing me. Is it too soon to do a home pregnancy test? Even if I were pregnant would it still come back as negative? Has anyone done a test only one week after ET and have it be accurate?

Was it a 5 day transfer? If so, then you could test, knowing that a positive means you're pregnant, but a negative doesn't mean you're not. It's really too early to be certain. At 14 dpo (or 9 days post 5 day transfer), you can be a little more confident.

They were three embies. One was a day 3. The other two were day 2. Sad, I know.

I did a home pregnancy test last night. It was negative. But the test line was there but the faintest pink, barely discernable really. Maybe it's wishful thinking on my part to want it to be there and it still means negative. I'll do another test in three days.

I had my egg retrieval on a Friday, I had my first positive test on the following Tuesday afternoon. It was faint, but each test got progressively darker.

I did one on 14 and 16dpo a got negatives. On 17dpo I got a very faint second line. On 18dpo I got a positive and bloodwork confirmed a beta of 250.

OP here. WOW. Your experiences are so inspirational. Do I dare to have hope...when I'm now 41 and on my third cycle?
