Travel Discussion
So... I am very much in need of a little bit of time away from my toddler for a little rest and relaxation before baby #2 arrives. We don't have family in the area so DH had offered to take toddler. I was discussing girls weekends with a couple of friends and wanted to get recommendations. It would be great to not drive very far. We were thinking of just doing one overnight - drive Saturday morning and come back Sunday afternoon. I would love a massage! Any recommendations?
Try St. Michael's. The Inn at Perry Cabin is great- nice spa too!
I did the same thing as you...it was really wonderful. My BFF and I went to Annapolis. We stayed at the Loewe's, had spa treatments at the local Aveda, stuffed ourselves silly at Cantler's and went to see a girly movie. It was a really nice mini getaway.
OP here - thanks for the great ideas!
DH and I stayed at Lowe's in Annapolis last spring. It was really nice. We went to an Aveda Spa a few blocks down. it was great and SO relaxing.
Landsdowne- fabulous spa.
Nemacolin (2 1/2 hours from DC) would be fabulous for you. Best spa I've ever been to ( and I've been to a lot!), friendly staff, tons to do--great rooms as long as you are in the chateau (not lodge). Really good dinners and nice places for you and your friends to hang out...
