We are seeking a shadow teacher to work with our 4 year old with some special needs issues at preschool, ideally ever day, but at minimum from 12-3 on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Any ideas of how we could find such a person? |
I've never used the agency Special Care Nannies (Mclean Va) but on their website they include shadowing at school on their services. |
Contact the special education department at local colleges to post the job. They usually have bulletin boards outside the main office.
Good luck! |

PP, great idea about your new organization. Florida has a few 'professional shadow' agencies (normally incorporated with an ed consulting and/or OT/speech practice. What criteria do you ask from your shadows? Former teachers? Special ed trained? PT/OT trained? |
