Thinking of a spring break trip for the family

Anonymous
It would be me hubby and our two boys, ages 10 and 15. Looking for something within driving distance. Last year we did Charleston and LOVED it!! We travel up north frequently (NYC and New England) so looking for other ideas. Was thinking about NC, but don't really know anything - I'd need to research. Maybe there is some fun destination in Pennsylvania (we've already done Amish Country)?

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas.

Is Amish Country a theme park?

No, its the Southeastern portion of PA where there is a very prevalent Amish population. You may have heard it referred to as Pennsylvania Dutch Country.

Have you tried Great Wolf Lodge?

I have not, thanks for that suggestion. I will look into that.

Boring for a 15 year old.

I'd look at Williamsburg. Or maybe local skiing, like Snowshoe (depends when your break is).

Terrible recommendation. Try again.

Nashville or Memphis. I know you said driving but I just saw good fares on Southwest.

What about Nashville? It's a bit of a drive (9 hours) but comparable to the drive to Charleston that you did last year.

Memphis is almost 15 hours from here. Don't do it.

Maybe Woodloch in the Poconos, or Snowshoe. Philly, Williamsburg, or go down to Hilton Head but its a longer drive.

That was why I mentioned the good fares on Southwest.
