Shoe cabinets of better quality?

We've had these from ikea for a few years http://m.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/art/90248426/ but they've kicked the bucket and we need new ones. I can't beat the $25 price tag but am wondering if there are more reliable ones that will last more than 3 years (though includes two moves which says a lot for ikea)

I like the look of Chinese shoe cabinets but they are not very practical as far as the inside shelving is concerned.

Whatever storage just make sure you don't store shoes in your closet. eewww, the smell.

Shake my head when I see, what's suppose to be, high-end walk-in luxury closets. All the bells and whistles but shoes stored in the closet. No.

How dirty are you that your shoes smell? Not even my workout shoes smell. Where do you keep shoes?
