Orlando Florida recommendations for hotels?

Anonymous
I need a few days away somewhere warm, with a pool, tennis courts and maybe a golf course. I was thinking Florida because it is close and easy - will be taking my 18 month old and thought maybe sea world would be fun for him. Anyone have a recommendation for a decent hotel in Orlando?

We stayed at the Marriott Horizons. It is a timeshare but they also do by the night like a regular hotel. It has a great water park and great zero entry kids pools. DS was 18 mo when we stayed there and it was perfect for him. It is very close to Sea World. I have not been to Sea World but from what I have heard I am not sure it will be great for a kid that young. You may want to post on some other forums and make sure there will be enough to do there to make it worthwhile. DS loved Magic Kingdom for a day at that age but it was an expensive day...

Check out the JW Marriott resort and Ritz Carlton... they are both right next to Sea World and share grounds so you get two hotels for the price of one. Stayed there in Dec for like $150 at the JW. VERY nice hotels, great pool, golf, tennis, awesome Ritz spa, etc.

We stayed at the Winn Reunion Resort last April during our visit to Orlando. It was incredibly affordable (relative to the Disney properties), brand new, offered 2 and 3 bedroom condos that had full kitchens and all the amenities of home. They have a golf course on property (we didn't play), spa, gym, etc. I would say it was one step below Ritz Carlton or Four Seasons in terms of luxury but for traveling with kids it was ideal. They have an awesome pool and waterpark with areas good for toddlers.

Have a great time.
