| that combine academics and fun for elementary school age? |
| Well, I think it depends on what kind of academics and what kind of fun you are looking for. The PG parks system has some great camps that are very affordable. Greenbelt has some really cool STEM focused camps, but I think they may be for older elementary/middle schoolers. |
| Any recommendations for preschoolers? Open to half day programs at the rec centers, or some of the art/dance studios in the Gateway Arts District. Thanks! |
| We did half day thru parks and recs. it was fine, great price and he liked the teachers. I did not sign up the first day and ended up in a location farther from my house bc I wanted the entire thing to be in one place. |
| The city of Greenbelt has very nice camps (but not academic camps) |

My daughter did greenbelt camp 2 years in a row, we like it. They swim often and play a lot.. Now that she's five we are looking for something different, more mentally stimulating and challenging. I actually just left Joes Emporium and Artworks in the arts district area... We are moving to the community and going with those options this summer.. Good luck!
PS. The last two options are much pricier than greenbelt. |

Thanks for the tips. I actually live within walking distance of both of those and they're great! I really like Joe's after school program. My kid is still in preschool, so we're looking for summer options for younger kiddos than what Joe's and Art Works cater to, but will be turning back to them when my kid's a bit older. When you say Greenbelt camp, you mean the one run by the city, right? Just want to make sure I'm bookmarking the right ones. Thanks! |

So many great camps in PG County - here is my running list:

| For preschoolers I would say the Greenbelt run programs are great if you are in that area already. We love Joes, Artworks, Greenwood, Camp Magruder, & Gymkana. |
| Anyone ever try Holy Trinity Episcopal in Glendale for summer camp? |
| Do the greenbelt camps have actual swim lessons or just recreational swimming? Thanks |
| PG TAG is sponsoring a Camp Fair in March at Kenmoor Elementary. Call them at 301-808-3790 for the exact date. |
My kids went to the Holy Trinity camp last summer. They really liked it and it was a good mix of academic, sports and just fun activities. |
