if the school is open 2hrs late tomorrow how does MS deal with each period?

for example, if the 1st period is from 7:40 to 8:30am, is it going to be 9:40 to 10:30am now? or the middle school is going to shorten the classes for each period.

They shorten each period. Basically a wasted day.

At the school at which I teach, we eliminate the students' study hall time and shorten most classes by fewer than 10 minutes. We pick up the pace in class a bit, maybe eliminate the exit ticket or warm up, but it definitely is not "a wasted day."

That being said, each school handles adjusting the schedule differently.
