What to do with all those stuffed animals?!

Anonymous
Any ideas for who will take never played with stuffed animals?
My DC who turns 3 has a huge gifted collection...and I want to get rid of them.
Some we'll keep, but others need to go.
We really have never played with them. Will some organization take them overl Goodwill?
thanks

My thoughts exactly. I was going to post one word: Bonfire.

If they haven't been used much - and not slobbered over - I would say Goodwill or some similar place.

yard sale?

My kids grade school is having a yearly carnival in 2 weeks and accepts clean, donated stuffed animals as prizes. We just dropped off two bags full! Greenbriar West Elementary on Poplar Tree in Fairfax 22033. I'm sure you could find other places to donate if that's not a convenient location for you though!

you're all so selfish.

it disgusts me.

MOM,

DONATE your stuffed animals.

so many children out there have NOTHING to play with.

I cannot believe people would really burn it instead of giving it away.

PP - I work in social service and MANY places won't/can't accept them because of infection control. There is no way to properly clean stuffed animals.

Thanks for spacing that out like so. The single sentences made it much easier to read.

Yes, I love it, it's like a very angry, angst-filled poem.

not to mention the resurgence of bedbugs...I know one agency where I donate items won't take stuffed animals or bedding anymore because they've had so much trouble with bedbugs.

And not to mention they are basically huge dust magnets, so a real no no for kids and people with allergies.

basically NO ONE wants your stuffed animals! a bon fire sounds pretty good...

But imagine the toxic smoke.

angry poet here...

you don't know any family in need?

why people think that charity has to be done through a organization?

go to the house of the family in need and offer the toys.

oh, I forgot... you don't have time for it, right?

and anyone who knows about the existence of bed bugs/pests in their homes know exactly what to do to get rid of the pests.

do you give away/sell your infected mattress? NO
so why do it with stuffed animals?

yes, its simple but people now a days seems to have different (individualistic/selfish) priorities.

ok ok ok... I know.
