Good selection of rugs in-store

We are in need of a new living room rug and I can't seem to find a place with reasonable prices and a good selection. I don't want to shop online because the cost of returns is so high on such a large item (5x7). Where can I shop locally that will have a good selection to choose from? The only places I can think of are HomeGoods and World Market and they are so hit or miss.

Try West Elm. Or, you can always get a remnant from a carpet store and have the edges bound.

Try bakersfield rugs in falls church. Also we were able to get a good deal on potterybarn rugs with 20% on top of their sale.

Costco has some nice area rugs right now.

I was shocked how many nice area rugs I saw in Home Depot once. I was not in the market for one, but wish I had been.
