I was told by someone that avocado pits are edible. Anyone ever tired to eat one?

Why on earth would you?

Np,no. You let them dry for a couple of days. Then put in heavy plastic bag, wrap bag in towel, and smash with a hammer. They're kind of bitter so you mix with other things or use in a smoothie. Just wondered if anyone ever heard of this.

No, unless you're starving on some desert island.
You can blend them in a Vitamix but they don't taste good.

The person who told me is a vegan. I eat an avocado every day and she told me. Just wondered if anyone had ever tried it. Sounds better than placenta.

I've only used the pits to help store in guacamole to keep it fresh. Did a google search on the pits and found this OP. Interesting.
