Do you keep a photo of your younger self around?

I do to remember that I was once attractive. How things change...

Well, I have photos of myself from all ages of my life. I actually like the photos of myself now better than at certain stages of my life when I was depressed, had an eating disorder, or was dating some whackos.

OP, this is a sad post. Aging does not make people unattractive. You sound depressed.

Im 29 and read your post. Its very depressing.

OP, I am 26 and I find this depressing. I find my mother and many women of all ages to be beautiful, truly. I'm kind of shocked by this.

I have photos from various ages. I am male, and think I was most attractive at 35. That is when I got married.

Now, my skin has ugly blotches, and my body has been cut up from scars from (required) surgeries. But I am alive. And that makes up for any attractiveness issues.

Of course. Surely you have photos of yourself when younger. But do you use a younger pic on fb?

no

I can't imagine putting up pictures of myself. seems a little egocentric

Do I look the same, however? hell no! I haven't colored my hair in 10 years, and while it does age me, I love my gray! And while I have maintained my weight, things have shifted around. But who cares?

There's no sense in "mourning." You should just move forward and be happy for being wiser!

I do. We have a photo from our wedding on the wall. A few years ago I made a collage for DH of photos of us from throughout the course of our relationship and it hangs in our room. My favorite picture ever of me and my brother is from 1999 so that's on a shelf in my home office.

It's not like I deliberately have one of my headshots from my sorority years sitting around, but if I have great memories wrapped up in a particular photo then it might be displayed in our home somewhere.

I've never been attractive. Okay as a baby, ugly as a child, uglier as a teen and have stayed at that "rate" of ugly my entire adult life.

I have one envelope of pics. I think there's one of me in my 20's. I don't think I have any of me in my 30's.

Wait till you twentysomethings are fiftysomething.

I hear you, OP.

I try not to dwell on my looks. A good day is getting up and dressed without obsessing in front of the mirror, then living my life without regrets.

live your best life today OP.

Except that most of us current fiftysomethings were twentysomethings in the '80s and had Big Hair and wore shoulder pads. I think we look better now!
