Have you seen the cover? I nearly died of laughter. I hope they delivered one to Madoff's house, even though they should be delivering it to the pen. It's going on my favorite covers wall. |
Zumbamama, I like you. I am going to have to go dig this week's issue out of my giant pile of accumulating mail. |
Ok, I just looked it up online. I don't get it ![]() |
OT - 18:11, are you the one who notes your admiration for OP on other threads? Nothing against OP but I think it is a little odd. |
18:11 here. No, I don't. Zumbamama has a real knack, however, for inciteful and thoughtful posts. But, when she does something "just for fun," it always IS fun. For all I know, she posts her bashes of people anonymously, but her posts that are "for attribution" indicate she is a cool person. Just today I was thinking I could do with something a little fun or funny, and here was Zumbamama's post about this cool cover I have to go find now.
On another message board I read, it is not uncommon for people to read the board regularly and "follow," and comment on, other posters who assume a persona. I read DCUM regularly, so my admiration for ZM is not based on this one post. If you find people calling out posters by their assumed names and commenting on them/their body of postings overall, don't read abovethelaw.com (although it's kind of gone downhill since the founder hired a new editor in chief or whatever he's called). |
She might mean "New York" magazine! |
Oh my fault...it is New York Magazine...duh! I can't read sometimes. Anyway, it's Bernie Madoff's face painted like the joker. There's several people I'd like to see on a cover like that, and he is definitely one of them. (tar and feathers could work too..hehe). That man is awful! |
Got it! I did look up The New Yorker and it made no sense@! |
thanks 18:11. Personally, I take the word "odd" as a compliment. |
