DS (age 12) and I need a new series to watch together until Agents of Shield comes back in March. We already watch Once Upon a Time, Warehouse 13 and Eureka. You got an idea of what we like, yeah? How about some recommendations? Thanks!

Ok, there's just so much, DH and I watch these shows and apparently we are at the same level as your 12 yo:

Arrow (ahhh so good!!)
The Flash
The 100 (this show is so much better than it has any right to be and you have to watch from the beginning)
Sleepy Hollow (not as good as the first season but we have hope)
Gotham (not good, violent, but DH likes it)

Things I haven't watched yet but we have plans:
Agent Carter spinoff of Shield
Gallavant miniseries on ABC

Not sci fi but you might like Elementary. Clever dialogue.

I loved Eureka.

Common Sense Media is good for reviews. You might want to check out Psych (not really sic-fi), Firefly (only 1 season & a movie), Defiance, Alphas (only 1 season), Fringe, Legend of the Seeker, Continuum, or Merlin (although I find some of the leads a little annoying). The Neighbors was an unexpected gem. I started watching it after a recommendation on DCUM.

I agree with PP, that The 100 is good--I've only seen season 1, and I'm still a big fan of Sleepy Hollow. Can't wait for Galavant.

Arrow is sooo good.

Also I believe Firefly is on Amazon prime if you have it.

I liked Once Upon a Time in Wonderland better than the other O.U.T.:

I really loved Farscape and think it would be appropriate for that age.

Also, not a sci-fi show, but I really like Murdoch Mysteries. It used to be on Amazon Prime, but I think you can buy or rent episodes/seasons. It's like Macgyver meets CSI--a police detective in the Victorian solving mysteries using the cutting edge "technology" of the day. He also meets people like Tesla or Arthur Conan Doyle.

Doctor Who is great -- I like the Matt Smith incarnation.

Did you ever watch Buffy The Vampire Slayer? It's great.
