Any married couples spending NYE without their spouse?

Or am I the only one?

Why?

My husband is upstairs reading and I am downstairs watching Ryan Seacrest with my daughter. Does that count?

Because my BIL is going through a divorce and depressed so DH is taking him out for NYE.

We are together but just watching tv and won't make it to midnight. I wouldn't have a problem with DH being away though - it's just like any other night to me.

How inconsiderate of your DH to try to help his depressed brother who is going through a divorce instead of paying attention to you OP.

Yep. He and DS are with DH's family for a week, while I'm back home working. Lame. But I'm glad they're having fun.

Mine is at work, has been for the last 8 New Year's Eves

That's so nice of him to go out with your BIL! Enjoy your alone time. DH and I like to get out with our friends once in a while. Not only does the one going out enjoy it but the person staying home does too. That's when I watch a chick flick, drink some wine and go to bed early. Enjoy!! DH is watching TV now and I'm getting ready for bed.

I work crazy amounts of hours between Christmas and jan 7th (36 hours on; 12 off with two full days off)
My husband always uses the time to do a trip with his son.

I am home sick with kids. Husband went out to friends house. I was fine with it as he rarely goes out.

It's not the first time, this has been going on for months.

I wouldn't mind either if my DH didn't go out all time as it is.

Stop feeling sorry for yourself. Sit down with DH and talk to him. Maybe he doesn't know how you feel.

I don't know about you, but I wouldn't be complaining if I was looking at Ryan Seacrest.

He sure is easy on the eyes....
