| Can cream cheese frosting be done by hand? |
| I really don't see how you could! Why not pick one up at target, <$20? |
|
I say pick up a cheapo hand blender but if you don't want to, try whipped cream cheese. That you could definitely do by hand and personally I like a nice whipped frosting.
Good luck. |
Sigh. I know, I know. |
| You can totally do it!! Make sure it's perfectly softnes, grab your whisk, and add a lot of elbow grease!!! |
| Actually, you can and might get better results. Overbeating cream cheese frosting with a mixer can cause it to break down and get runny. Make sure your cream cheese and butter are at room temperature and work in the powdered sugar, vanilla and a small amount of milk or cream with a wooden spoon. |
| Wooden spoon or potato masher. People were making butter cream and other frosting long before most people had mixers. |
| i know this is not what you asked for but try this for frosting - 1 cream cheese, 1 Tbsp. milk and 1 Tbsp sugar in large bowl and mix/whisk. Stir in 1-1/2 cups COOL WHIP. YOu don't need a mixer. you will get georgetown cupcake kind frosting. |
