Braised short ribs in slow cooker

Anonymous
Anyone have a tried and true recipe? There are so many online but don't know which ones are good.

I crust and sear with flour, salt, pepper. Throw in cooker. Add a bottle of red wine, a few bay leaves, some rosemary, an onion, a few heads of garlic, and a coarsely chopped carrot. Let brew. Serve with noodles or mashed somethingorother and a fresh garnish of parsley.

Well, that's the bones, sometimes I'll spice up a little more if I have fresh sprigs kicking around - thyme, etc.

I tried this and it turned out great.

I love epicurous.com. I did a braised short rib recipe that had red wine and rosemary. Heavenly aroma.

I'm not sure which one it is now but 3.5-4 forks are usually a good bet.

This recipe looks amazingly fabulous! Thanks! I did notice that one of the reviewers thought it should have more meat---did you add more?
