If you don't want to buy me a present, then don't. But don't frickin' whine about it.

DH just wandered in here bitching and moaning about how he "has to" go Christmas shopping for me now, and really, really doesn't want to. "I'm in a bad mood," he says. Well, thanks, honey, now so am I.

(FYI, I never told him he "had to" buy me anything. Nice to know that it's such a chore, though.)

I've got nothing more. Just needed to vent. End rant.

Whatever. Carry on.

Tell him to just give you the cash! Seriously...and problem solved!

Try having sex with him more than once a quarter.

Were you hoping for a fresh round of misandry or something?

Sorry about your selfish and insensitive husband, OP.

Mine annoyed me too today. Suddenly got upset because I hadn't handled the health insurance the way he would have handled it... except that he has never ever handled anything like that! It all falls on me. News for DH: If I have to do a household chore, it gets done my way and I don't want to hear any recriminations.

Try having sex.

I never stopped. You still find something new to post about.

OP, that sucks. Why is he shitting all over your holiday??
Anonymous
If your DH weren't a procrastinator it wouldn't be an issue.
Anonymous
That sucks OP. I'm sorry.

Go to the after xmas sales and buy yourself something you'd love to have but wouldn't otherwise have spent money on.

I didn't buy my husband anything because there is nothing I can buy him he can't get for himself. I couldn't think of anything I actually wanted so I told him about some perfume I knew was no longer made so I didn't look bad for Christmas. I figured it would even things out.

HE FOUND THAT PERFUME.

Sorry OP. It's OK to vent! Tell him to stay home and avoid the malls for his own sanity! He can do something for you another time when it's not so crazy! Maybe he'll see that as a favor!

My husband is the same PP. If I mention a concert or a book in an offhand way, he will track down tickets or or a signed copy and just spend too much for something I was just having a passing fancy about. It's really sweet but also stressful!

Let it go, let it go.... Sometimes venting just makes something small into a problem!!
