Restaurant for Proposal - Old Town, Nat Harbor, NoVA, etc.

Anonymous
Looking for a restaurant with either nice outdoor walk around with holiday decor (National harbor) or nice settings in old town, nova, etc. Would prefer not to do the DC thing unless a deck is nearby. Not interested in 1789 or anything that fancy--must be blue jean friendly.

I tried searching but didn't really come up with much. Planning on it tonight, thanks in advance!

"DC unless a deck is nearby" -Did you check out Sequoia or Tony and Joe's, or the others on the Georgetown waterfront?

Sorry, parking deck. I'm unfamiliar with DC restaurants.

National Harbor is cheesy as hell, BUT... The Gaylord's Christmas decorations are amazing.

Old Town is pretty festive in itself, so you could do it just about anywhere. Or, you could take her somewhere in Old Town for dinner, then head over to National Harbor for dessert. Propose there, at The Gaylord (since you want Christmas decorations). Follow it up with a ferris wheel ride.

I dunno.

It's in an office park but the setting at 2941 in Falls Church is surprisingly beautiful and the food is good too.

Proposal? Like a marriage proposal?

Try the Chart House in Old Town. Or, if you like Thai food, Mai Thai.

Maybe in the Ferris wheel at national harbor?

I would not recommend doing this in a restaurant as restaurants come and go sometimes. Nothing like a memory at a defunct locale. How about at the awakening or someplace that has a likelihood of staying. The Gaylord would work too.

That's what popped into my head, too.

It's morning and I'm dying to know how the proposal went!

(I know I need a life of my own! but I love a romance story!)

Not right now. It's closed in with those white tent walls for winter. Underwhelming.

Me too! I hope he/she said yes!

Nobody thought the Awakening would ever leave Haines Point!
