Restaurant for dinner tomorrow with mother? (Near Fairfax/Falls Church)

I'm picking up my mother at the airport tomorrow evening and want to take her to dinner, just the two of us, before I take her home to the chaos that is my house. Her plane doesn't arrive until close to 7 so I'm guessing it will be closer to 7:30/8 before we get out of Dulles. I was originally thinking of going to True Food in Merrifield/Mosiac but the greens heavy menu isn't looking so appealing to my 6 week pregnant appetite. Any recommendations? Someplace that doesn't absolutely require reservations (because I'm not exactly sure what time we'd get out of the airport) and hopefully would have some good pasta or something that I can handle. If you're looking for pasta, Ovvio Osterio is just a few blocks north of Mosaic and is really good.

Sweetwater or any of the other Great American Resturants is always a solid pick. Sweetwater is near the highway, so easy to get to. They don't take reservations, but do call ahead seating, so give them a call when you have your Mom. It should be ok that late on a Tuesday night.

OP here. Thanks for the great recommendations! I'm leaning towards Sweetwater as that actually sounds good this morning, and being able to call ahead when we're leaving the airport sounds great. Thanks again!
