Are you cooking this week?

Or are you on kitchen vacation along with the kids from school?
My kids think every night should be take out or going out since I'm pretty much home all week and DH will be too. Um, no, that's even more reason FOR me to make dinners at home!

I made chicken parm tonight and we'll have that again on Tuesday. Tomorrow will be simple - something from the freezer. Too much going on this week with work and getting ready for the holidays and we still need to pack, going out of town the 26th.

Of course I'm cooking.

Monday we'll have homemade soup I made last week. Tuesday I'm baking a ham. Thursday a smoked turkey. Sunday leftovers.

I'm having 17 people to my house for Christmas week, so yeah I'm cooking.

I'm in holiday mode. No cooking except for the one meal I'm hosting (Christmas Eve). I've been baking up a storm, though.

DH grilled a ton of chicken tonight so we ate that with salad and French fries tonight. Tomorrow will be leftover grilled chicken with steamed broccoli. We always go out to dinner on the 23rd. Soup for dinner on the 24th. Big Christmas dinner on the 25th. So yes, I am cooking. Like a PP, the time at home means more time to eat good meals together. Also, of course, means more nice meals with a bottle of wine!

A roast, ham and goose.
