| It will just be 4 adults and one child. We love food, but I have a shellfish allergy. We're doing beef tenderloin at my mom's on Christmas Day so trying to stay away from beef. I am feeling uninspired. Any suggestions? |

I always do a soup on Christmas Eve, because we go to church in the middle of dinner time. There's one I make with pork sausage, tomatoes, white beans and pasta often around Christmas, or a chicken taco slow cooker soup.
We eat big on Christmas day, so I like a lighter Christmas Eve dinner. |

Our Christmas Eve tradition is heavy appetizers and cocktails. We are more casual and play lots of games as a family. Christmas day is the formal
sit-down meal in the afternoon. |
