Recs for private ice-skating teacher for novice eight-year-old? (MoCo)

Hi, our eight-year-old has never ice-skated but wants to learn, and the times we have available make it difficult to sign up for a class. Are there any great private instructors who could teach her at Cabin John ice rink? Thanks.

| There is a list of private instructors at the front desk. Lyn is great with younger kids. Shira also comes to mind. Expect to pay $40/half hour plus the session fee. Good luck. |

| Mom of an ice skating 11 yr old here. Don't bother with $40 lessons now. Have her go to public skating sessions and stumble around a few times first. THEN give her lessons. Also, aim for semi-private - is there a friend who also wants to learn? My DD does a class and a semi-private lesson with her skating buddy. She gets a TON out of the semi-privates and they're half the cost. |
