FCV. We received a partial refund for the Spring. |
Figured you were FCV. If we're talking rec, Loudoun did a partial refund as well. Yes, you had to apply it to the fall (which is happening), so what's the difference you're complaining about again? Cash in hand vs. a credit. Hardly a difference in "robbery" vs. "struggling to stay afloat." Sounds like you just have an axe to grind with Loudoun. We've had kids at both clubs and don't see a difference financially. |
Requiring someone to shell out more cash for a “discounted” service is not a refund |
Is this truthful or jealousy-based comment? |
It’s true. He also forgot to mention that coaches got paid during spring 2020 for... NOTHING! |
|
What’s truly bizarre is they have families going back (and somehow justifying it) to a criminal entity masquerading as a soccer club after knowing facts like:
i) they received around $250-350k from PPP when non-profits are prohibited from receiving federal $. ii) 5-6 people are making between $125-170K annually (but don’t forget they’re a ‘non-profit’). iii) they kept over 10 thousand + Children’s funds so yeah. iiii) they lied about their refunding process. iiiii) they fought against credit card companies when parents filed theft complaints. iiiiii) their so called top teams (ECNL) have been destroyed worse than the recent Barcelona 2-8 Bayern München which proves they don’t have any real production of talent development (for the thick minded this means their coaches are shitty at best). To top it off they don’t even hold open meetings and don’t post their minutes nor their way of operating. iiiiiii) the president and a couple more members had to resign due to the pressure from local media shedding light on their obscure and illegal modus operandi. Is this truthful or jealousy-based comment? Loudoun Youth Soccer is a 501c3. 501c3 orgs ARE able to receive PPP funds. From the SBA website at https://www.sba.gov/funding-programs/loans/coronavirus-relief-options/paycheck-protection-program#section-header-7: Who Can Apply The following entities affected by Coronavirus (COVID-19) may be eligible: Any small business concern that meets SBA’s size standards (either the industry based sized standard or the alternative size standard) Sole proprietors, independent contractors, and self-employed persons Any business with a NAICS Code that begins with 72 (Accommodations and Food Services) that has more than one physical location and employs less than 500 per location Any business, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, 501(c)(19) veterans organization, or Tribal business concern (sec. 31(b)(2)(C) of the Small Business Act) with the greater of: 500 employees, or That meets the SBA industry size standard if more than 500 Also, there's nothing that caps salaries for employees of non-profits. Compensation for those making more than $100K is disclosed on their Form 990 which is available for public review. |

I was thinking pp was wrong also. many (most?) private schools are non profit and they got loans, not to mention all of the other soccer organizations. never trust 100% what you read on dcum. |
| It’s almost like the PP doesn’t know what they’re talking about. |
| Many people are saying |
| So, LS took out the loans, legally, and still felt the need to steal funds from parents in their travel and rec programs? How does this help your argument, LS staff? |
It helps in feeling myself superior to you all poor peasants. Shut up and give me your money. Also give more money to use our credit and be thankful for it you imbecile! |
| Hopefully you took your meds and were in bed by 11pm. |
Is it typical for all LS families to take nightly meds? |
What an incredibly disingenuous way to describe what Loudoun did. |
