For 10 years anti-Trump factions have been completely befuddled by their inability to break through on messaging re: Trump. They try to blame everything and everyone but themselves. This thread is but the latest example.

People who preached incessantly about the importance of Democracy! for four years now tell us it is no big deal that a mentally incompetent person was being run for President (imagine if there had been no debates!?!?!). The people who tell us they are freaked out by the current constitutional crisis created by Trump want to sweep under the rug the very real constitutional crisis of who the F was in charge of the executive branch these past four years? Who was it that signed legislation into law, issued EOs and granted pardons?

When James Carville said the Democratic Party had become the party of preachy females, this is what he meant. You can’t wave away the last democratic crisis and Constitutional crisis and then expect me to care about the current one.

Except that...you old "crisis" is made-up, typical MAGA "every accusation is a confession" nonsense and the CURRENT Constitutional crisis, not to mention the constant blatant corruption of Trump, Musk and the Trump family are very very very REAL.

Preachy females for people like you actually means "intelligent women pointing out the obvious and forcing me to hear truths and I don't like it". SDASU.

NP. Are you aware that the authors of "Original Sin" - the new book about Biden's decline - are Jake Tapper (CNN) and Alex Thompson (Axios)? Hardly your "MAGA" boogeymen. And that within that book, many Democrats are on record discussing just how evident and severe Biden's decline was, even as they were covering up for him?

These are the obvious truths you simply refuse to acknowledge. Do better.

And there are MANY MORE democrats on record saying "There's no problem. Just get behind him."

Don't try to rewrite history. It doesn't fly.

One might say exactly the same thing about Trump's handlers. And he has a severe personality disorder on top of cognitive decline which makes his mental state even more precarious.

Trumps personality, speech patterns, and body language are the same from 30 years ago. It’s not an age related degenerative decline. He’s just crazy

False. Watch any video of him from 30 years ago...night and day.

+2 he’s a lot worse off these days. Hell he was noticeably more coherent even in 2016.

Luckily for him, he ran against two of the most incoherent Democrats in modern history last year and beat both of them fairly easily.

I think people also underestimate how difficult it is to talk without a script for 1- 2 hours straight. Obviously the conversation will be scattered. At first, people tried to claim Trump couldn’t read and that’s why he didn’t use a teleprompter but of all days, he happened to turn to use the teleprompter right before the shooting. Trump is a legend

Yeah they would like to pretend the last administration did not use third world dictatorship practices like getting their opponent jailed, reducing their security to bare bones in an attempt to get them killed, getting WH press conferences banned, radio hosts fired, news reports censored, social media (Hunters laptop) censored and falsely reported as disinformation (only to later admit after the election the laptop was real), bullion of dollars spent to jail a political opponent, allowing no voter id to vote, selecting a new Dem candidate without a primary.

None of these are democratic or constitutional actions

I was at the nail salon the other day and Ibwas shocked to see Jill and Joe Biden on The View. I guess they aren’t wasting any time with the damage control. Biden at one point said he was tired of talking and turned things over to his wife mid question

And they spent double what Trump's campaign did and still lost.

There is zero possibility of winning when the unpopular incumbent backs out of the race 3 months prior to the election; even against an opponent as weak as Trump.

Dems found out the hard way why nominating elderly people for the most demanding job in the world is a terrible idea that will come back to haunt. GOP is in the process of learning this same lesson.

Trump has now fallen asleep and been confused four times on tv....we know he;s just golfing. The scary part of this s%it show is the heritage fun is running the country and dumy just does whatever they tell him to stay out of the slammer.

He’s clearly cognitively compromised, and I don’t think that his baseline years ago was ever as high as Biden’s. However, the real issue is that Trump is emotionally impaired, whereas Biden was and is emotionally stable. Biden also surrounded himself with capable people, while Trump surrounds himself only with damaged people.

His mental state was and is fine.

You have no verifiable proof otherwise.

This! Neither man should be president, and Biden's aides and families screwed it up for us all, but Trump is the sociopath. A senile, malignant narcissist sociopath = the fall of America.

And American voters should have known better than to be duped into nominating these elderly people. We have to accept some responsibility or else we're as awful as the people we are pointing fingers at.

NP: Just wondering why Jake Tapper and other CNN correspondents did not bring this up earlier? Like when Biden was in power. Why did they enable this? They seem complicit.
