The DOJ could still press charges under any number of laws, but it's not. It's pretty clear that the Biden-Harris administration doesn't want any more attention on the event.

Or perhaps the employee was told by someone in the current administration to say that charges weren't being pursued out of fear of Trump? Having the media twist the facts of the situation, and combine that with a decline to pursue charges, is a classic way of blunting the impact of the main event. I'd be curious to know if the ANC employee had any conversations with the current administration and/or the Harris campaign.

Correct. I support Trump and I would LOVE to see Garland charge him with this, just so we can all see the video of what happened, and have people testify, under oath, about what happened.
