Open gallbladder surgery (removal). Hope it is nothing serious and she has a speedier recovery!

Doesn’t she follow some really weird crazy high protein diet ?? Dukan??

It’s infamous for constipation & bowel obstructions….

Carole Middleton was doing the Dukan diet to lose weight for Kate’s wedding, not Kate herself.

Kate’s known to go home right after birth. Besides, it is well known that extended hospitalization can lead to nosocomial infection. It’s just how it is. It’s best to recuperate at home and being with the royal family, I would imagine they can have access to the best care at home. I hope I am wrong, but I feel there’s something concerning about this. The BRF will never divulge anything that would jeopardize their stability. The queen’s bone cancer was well privately kept. I really hope this is nothing but extra precautionary measure.

I will say when you have little ones, they climb all over you. So if they do not want to disrupt the kid’s lives for weeks (ie, have them sent away or know their mom is home but can’t hold them for example), she may have chosen to rest up in some VIP suite (like a fancy hotel).

American posters are worried that she is wasting NHS resources.

Perhaps more importantly why do you care to know? Also, why would you believe she is having whatever procedure she is saying she is having.

My money is on her likely getting a mini face/neck lift.

Brain surgeon here.

Kate Middleton had abdominal surgery, 10+ days hospital recovery, 3 months return to activity. Likely not hysterectomy due to hospital recovery time. General consensus is colon issues, as that’s a specialty of the hospital and would match with recovery time. Some think plastic surgery or eating disorders/addiction recovery. Questions over how long the problem has been going on/when surgery became necessary. Markle makes first appearance on p 27.

To summarise:

HRH the Princess Catherine of Wales has had a surgery at a private clinic in London. Reasons unknown. KenPal have issued statement saying Kate will be in hospital for around 2 weeks.

Kate was last seen in public on Christmas day.

Speculation is now abounding as far afield as suburban DC as to causes of said surgery and recovery times.

And thanks!

anyone parse the "non-cancerous" statement? that was not in the original statement put out by KP. i'm not sure that can be completely discounted.

And December 28 is video of a convoy/motorcade heading to hospital. People are speculating she’s been in the hospital entire time. And transferred for the planned surgery to the london clinic.

It also rules out cosmetic surgery, unless they planned some giant elaborate ruse.

And with the 8:30pm convoy to the hospital—that speaks more emergency

The X poster corrected it to say 6.30pm was time of footage. If it was HRH Catherine then it's a possibility she's been in hospital since Dec 28th, maybe a different hospital as an 'acute' case for around 3 weeks, and then admitted for a 'planned' surgery at TLC yesterday.

All just speculation and I'm starting to feel a bit guilty as I'm sure it's last thing she wants.

I think she does a lot for our RF and I wish her a smooth and swift recovery.

Are you a Brit living in DC? I'm shocked by the posts from people who seem to be British. Is DCUM so popular that you have some sort of alert over there that tells you all when someone has posted about the royal family?

Yes, all of us receive notifications whenever any member of the RF is mentioned online. Some of us then can join threads and hype up the RF. We receive a special edition slice of Camilla's fruit cake by ROYAL MAIL Special Delivery soon afterwards ( it's like FedEx but obv much much much worse as all things unAmerican are) 😋

It's true, the USA is great. I read Steinbeck, Salinger, Wolfe, Walker with pleasure. I drive the wide open roads. I photograph the incredible flora and fauna. I see the giant houses and cars. I visit the Plymouth Colony where the Mayflower landed and the pilgrims tried to survive.

I look at the map of the US to see how many olace names I can spot which have Btitish origins.

Are you American? What does it mean to you to be American? Do you mean it's where you have residency, domicile, a passport, birthplace? I find it strange when nosey ppl are trying to drill me 'where are you from?', when I then ask, what do you mean, they often shout 'well where we're you BORN?'. I say, well, if I tell you I was born in Ecuador, does it mean I'm Ecuadorian?

Like millions, I'm a mix of ancestry from Europe, mostly British and a bit of German. I just am grateful as I said, to live in Britain and have a constitutional monarchy.

As for the odd brags about Olympic medals, it would be so much more interesting if the poster had won any.

Dunno what all the incorrect stuff about inventions was.

An English man invented the jet engine your Boeings and all others use. You are welcome?

I had to quote this. You are hilarious.

She hasn't been seen in public in 23 days. For her birthday last week they released an old photo from the Coronation. William hasn't been seen in about a week. She has been noticeably thinner lately so that would point to something GI tract related, which would also require a longer hospital stay because of the risk of infection.

I guess they're not saying more because of her kids?

Meaning they ruled it out and now reporting that it’s not cancer due to tear results ?

That perhaps they had to go in/cut her open first to know what they were actually dealing with—test the tumor, tissue, etc. I know instances in my own life (people) where that has happened.
