Suggest a steakhouse or french bistro restaurant in Fairfax/Herndon/Reston area?

I'm looking for a restaurant to 'wow' some out of town relatives. They've been to Rays Steakhouse, Mon Ami Gabi, Chez Francois and I do not want to take them to a chain restaurant like Ruth's Chris or Outback.

Any ideas?

You might try the new location for the Fuentes restaurant family:

They do French Mediterranean, generally.

This family used to run El Manantial in Reston and recently moved this new location.

OP, I recommend Cafe Renaissance in Vienna or Cafe Tatti in McLean if you are looking for a solid rendition of French bistro dishes. For "wow" you'll have to go into DC.
Going by the reviews, Trummer's on Main in Clifton is very very good, but I have no personal experience. Kinda tough to get to Clifton, y'know.

OP here. Thanks for all the suggestions. I wish we could make it out to DC but it's hard with all the holiday traffic and limited time.

It's a chain but what about Flemmings in McLean ? It was really good the last time we went.

No, just someone who's had a couple of good meals there.

Thanks for the rec for Cafe Tatti - I drive by there all the time and never knew if it was worth trying.

YUM this would be my pick. Loved El Manantial. Loved the style of food and the pastry chef made great creme brulee.
