DoesUMBC have any kind of campus life? Places to go out?

I know it's achieved a lot in recent years in terms of reputation. DD wants to go to med school so we are thinking in-state tuition would be best for undergrad. We are hearing UMBC has great STEM programs and has 70% of students living on campus, but I'm wondering what it's really like.
