I need ideas for my reading corner

Anonymous
I have an extra little space in my house directly off the kitchen and I have an extra 3 seater couch that I would like to do something with. So my idea is to make a little reading area and a place to store our some of our rather large number of books. Instead of bookshelves, I would like to find end tables and a coffee table with book storage in them. Or possibly find low bookshelves that could also serve as tables.

If you've done something similar, I would love some ideas. Thanks!

I'd love to have a spot like this. I'm hoping others will reply with ideas!

Google rain gutter bookshelves for more ideas. I just put some up in my boys room and they turned out great. They walk by and are drawn to the books because they can see the whole cover not just the spine.

We have space like this with a wall of windows. The windows are the perfect height to use those 3-cubby Closetmaid benches as a window seat/bookcase. Once it's loaded with books and accessories on top, it's not immediately obvious that's it's a cheapo Target bench; it just looks sort of built into the space.
