DD hand tremors

| Every once in a while, 14yo DD's hand will shake severely and uncontrollably for a little while, then stop. What could this be? |

You really need to see a doctor about this.
One thing to think about though is how much does she text? It could be carpel tunnel. |

| Why haven't you taken her to a neurologist yet? Could be carpal tunnel, brain infection, MS, or any number of things!!! |

She texts little but types a LOT. She's also sleep-deprived, could be connected to that. |

Agree with doctor. Start with pediatrician.
What else is going on in her life and health? Wouldn't rule out stress as a cause, although symptoms are often over attributed to this. |

| definitely make a dr appt. And list any medications she may be taking. My hands shake if I take too much decongestant. |

Dh has these. Has had them his whole life. His dad is a doctor. They concluded it was not a problem. I assume they went to the doctor about it when he was a kid. Just meant he would never be a surgeon!
They certainly freaked out my mom when she first met him, though! |

| She needs to seen by a doctor to rule out the scary stuff. But like the pp said, it may be nothing to worry about. I have a familial shake. Not a big dal at all. My hands just sometimes shake. It gets worse when I am under stress or in a hurry. |
