What are you planning for Christmas morning? |
Good question. Probably monkey bread or Christmas pancakes (just regular pancakes with red and green sugar sprinkles) with fresh fruit. Hot cocoa for the kids, coffee for the grown-ups.
In the past we've done breakfast casserole (prepped the night before), french toast, or fresh baked croissants (thanks Trader Joes!). |
| My parents will be here, and my mom traditionally makes cinnamon rolls. Then we'll have some type of eggs (probably omelets) and fruit. |
| I also like to prepare some type of French toast casserole that I prep the night before and just pop in the oven in the morning. |
|
I always make scrambled eggs with cheese, lots of bacon and home fries (New England style). Family tradition mandates that we have Entermann's cheese Danish cake.
Dinner, apps and desserts is when we bust out the fancy food. Breakfast is all about being in our pjs, drinking coffee and enjoying our kids and gifts. |
|
We make overnight cinnamon buns - easy recipe using frozen bread dough. It's yummy but not filling so a few
Hours later we do either lunch or brunch eggs bacon etc |
| I always make breakfast lasagna. Prep the night before and bake while we open presents. |
| Mimosas, brioche French toast |
The best kind of Christmas morning! |
| Cold pizza, red wine, strong coffee, and soft scrambled eggs. |
| Baked french toast, boiled eggs, bacon, fruit, latkes, mimosas -- one of my favorite parts of Christmas! |
| Mimosas, fruit salad, hash browns, omelettes and some kind of bready thing. We eat between stockings and presents. Like pp, it's one of the very best parts of the day. |

| Last year made sausage balls (made the day before and popped into the oven), scambled eggs, and fruit (DH and I were doing low carb.) Hot chocolate for the kids, diet coke for DH, and mimosas for me. |
This looks delicious and easy. I think I will make it. Can you substitute a different bread - my kids won't eat raisin bread. |
