Wassail
Anything with cranberry juice, Cosmopolitans would be pretty with a lime twist (can make a big batch ahead of time) Eggnog Love the idea of a cider rum punch! |

I'm planning to try this snowball recipe:

I made the gimlet from that article and it was good. |

I'm going to try this one:

I would suggest either mulled wine or coquito. Both seasonal, festive, and pack a mean punch.
Mulled wine: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/ina-garten/mulled-wine-recipe.html Coquito: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/puerto-rican-coconut-milk-rum-christmas-drink-coquito-recipe.html |
| I do cranberry, orange, sprite, and vodka with rosemary varnish. |
| I'd go with mulled wine or wassail or a champagne punch (we did one with pomegranate I think, and used prosecco instead of champagne). You can also do pomegranate martinis. |
I'm trying that one for a party tomorrow night! Will report back.

PP here! The double-cider bourbon punch was an unadulterated hit last night! I don't have a punchbowl, so I made a half-batch in a pitcher...and then made the other half on demand. It was light, didn't taste too boozy, and seemed very seasonal.
