Best, worst, and horribly funny date stories?!

Lets bring some laughs and happiness to this board!

My 5th date with my now DH was my worst and best date. He decided to cook me a dinner of a dish he saw on TV. He burned half of the food and we got drenched on our way to a restaurant. We are at an unknown cafe in soaking wet clothes. We went back to his place and found the power was out in all the buildings on his block. The evening was pretty awful but it turned into the best night. With candles all around we had sex that night. It was the first time and so romantic. We have been happily together for 4 years!

Sorry. I know I'm not the best story teller. Please share yours

Not my story, but my sister went on a date with a guy who got absolutely hammered drunk - she got fed up and left. He called her the next day and said he woke up outside on the sidewalk and his wallet was gone and accused her of roofieing him. True story.

Friends in college convinced me to go out with this guy "he's a baseball player " that I had met at a party but didn't remember which one he was ( dark bar, drinking , lots of new people )
So he called , asked me out , I'm ready for him to come to my door
Fire alarm goes off , 12 floors of people rushing outside. Standing in the parking lot with my friends looking for him . Now turns out they don't really remember what he looks like either and I am smiling hopefully at every cute guy that makes eye contact
Real guy finds me and is not cute or nice at all.
Takes me to a movie and immediately puts his hand very high on my upper inner thigh as soon as the lights go down.
I get up and walk out, call my friends to come get me
Fire alarm goes off and the whole mall /movie complex steams into the parking lot . My friends cAnt find where I am to pick me up- pre cell phones plus I am hiding from the guy who grabbed my vajay.

Guy I knew in college found me , maybe 5 years later , and wanted to get together
Flirting on the phone , innuendo follows
He take me out to a really nice dinner
He then pulls out his resume and explains he has been trying to network more and remembers my uncle is chairman of a national law firm , can I give him a leg up on getting a job there ?
No, no I cannot

I hope that when she was telling you this , you looked her dead in the eye and said " well.... did you?"

Met up with a guy for a late lunch at a place he raved about. I had an early breakfast and waited to eat since I assumed we'd be eating, so I was starving by the time we met at 1:30. Get there, he orders a beer and proceeds to spend the next 30min detailing his workouts and the extra 5 miles he ran that morning so he could justify having two (light) beers. We never ate, didn't even get past the bar. I brought up ordering something and he said he never ate out.

Happened to a friend when she was just out of college. She'd gone out with a guy she met at a bar a few times and took him home after the third date.

She went into her bedroom to change into PJs and came out wearing her family reunion t-shirt from a few years back.

The guy turned white as a ghost - turns out he had the same shirt and had been at the reunion. Turns out they were cousins, like, 5 times removed - not related by blood, but still kind of related.

First date - a friend set us up. We had talked a few times and decided to go to a nice restaurant. When we got there, it was closed due to some electrical issue. Tried three other places and they had a long waiting list. Finally just went to a local pizzeria. Left and my car had a flat tire. Changed it, had a drink at a lounge, Galveston for another hour, and she invited me back to her place. Had sex on the first date and now married almost ten years. Never did the sex on the first date thing and still bring it up once in a while.

Oh, so many of them.

I had talked to a guy over the phone for a while for work but I had never seen him. Seems like a nice enough guy. We plan to go Downtown. Enormously obese guy on a motorcycle shows up at my house and knocks on my door. Huh???!!! He tells me to hop on the motorcycle and hands me an extra helmet. What do I do? I have to deal with this guy as a client every day at work. I can't be rude and not go. So I get on the back of his motorcycle. He takes up so much of the seat that I am barely on the vehicle. I spend the next few hours clinging for dear life to his jacket praying that I won't fall off. Horrifying. By the end of the evening my fingernails were bloody stubs.

Tinder Date.

We talk for a few weeks. She shows up to the date 40 pounds heavier and 10 years older than her pictures.

I get completely smashed and GTFO quick.

An online dating site, said he's 5'7 and when he showed up he was more like 5'2. I am 5'5 and had to look down. Went out once and just couldn't do it.

In the early days of the internet, i met someone though usenet..."She" seemed nice, and we talked. The date went well...and she offered to perform oral sex on me. I wanted to reciprocate, but she said no...She did not want my hands to wander either.

When After the make out session, She stood up, and it was clear that she was a he and was excited.

Another non-date story. I went out on a date with this girl...we went out for about a month, but it did not work out. Nothing hostile... Fast forward five years: I am married; we are living on the Va Side of the river. DW meets a friend, and they hit it off...they seem to have a lot in common. And we both had DD's about the same age.

DW ARRANGED the families to meet..I see DW's friend, and realize it is my former "friend". We remain family friends, and have never spoken of the fact I had sex with her: neither her hubby nor my wife knows, though there have been one or two jokes...
