I've posted on this forum a few times regarding some family issues I've had over the past few months and I've been really touched by the kind, thoughtful (occasionally long!) responses given. DCUM is not always the kindest, but I've gotten some very good advice here. So, thank you, anonymous peeps.

ITA. There are some respondents that are looking for a fight, which makes DCUM look bad. They really announce to the world how bad their life really is - they are a useless waste of time and space. But for the most part, there are some kind, supportive, mature, intelligent, useful and reasonable people. They make all the difference.

What a lovely post.

I have sometimes been caught in the ugliness of DCUM but I've also benefitted from kind and thoughtful feedback and hope I've offered some myself.

It's nice to be reminded that there are lots of good people here.

I too hope that you and your family are doing well, and will have a peaceful, happy holiday season.
