How much cash do you take out for the week to spend for everything.

I take out $100 but go over most times.

What do you mean by everything? We take out $380 for food, gas and dry cleaning. Most household goods come by amazon and go on the cc. We decided how much to take out based on how much we spend, not the other way around. Family of 4 btw.

I almost never use cash at all anymore. Only for purchases under about $8, and the stands at the farmers' market that don't take credit. Because I get 1% cash back from my credit card company. It adds up, unfortunately. $100 cash will last me weeks.

I can't remember the last time I actually had cash on me. Couple years or more ?

I get 5 or 6% back on most purchases, and 1% back on the rest. Hardly ever use cash.

Cash for gas? Haven't done that in 15 or 20 years. You can pay at the pump now.

Food too? Dry cleaning? Do you live in a time warp? Are you in the mob?

Using cash usually helps you control your spending, if that applies to you. I usually use debit for everyday stuff, but actually prefer cash.

None. Solely use credit. We like the bonus points. We pay it off in total every month. Prefer to use plastic over cash.

Many stations have lower prices for those who use cash.

0. I pay with cash back cc for everything and pay the bill in full when due. I carry about $20 in my wallet for times when cc is not accepted.

6% cash back on gas with amex covers this and more.

About $80 a paycheck, $45 of which goes for milk at the farmers market. Some veggies/fruit and maybe a bunny if the bunny/egg/chicken broth guy is there. The coffee lady takes cards as does the pastured meat guy.

I get $200-300 when I run low. Might be every 2-3 weeks. I use cash at the farmers market, for tips (like parking valets), for coffee or other purchases under $10, and occasionally for cabs in NYC when there for work.

I take out $200 every month or so. I don't use cash for much of anything anymore.
