Why was this thread moved to the Health and Medicine section?
http://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/432167.page I was asking based on playdates, classes, etc, how parents handle that situation, not if/when/how they vax. Please move it back to General Parenting. |
Any thread that deals with vaccinations will turn into a vaccination debate. You will get less crazy responses in Health.
|
And less relevant information in regards to playdates, child interactions, etc, rendering it useless. |
Rereading your post, I am not sure what relevant information you are hoping to find. Here is your final paragraph:
"DD is fully vaxed (minus the flu) but I would never tell her she can't have a playdate with a friend just because they were not vaxed. I mean that's the point of vaccinations right? To keep the child from getting the disease, even if they come into contact with it?" It looks like you have already established your position on this subject and don't need additional feedback. To the contrary, it looks like you are simply trying to discuss vaccinations from another angle. |
Rereading my post you should see the very first thing I ask is:
"How do you actually put this into effect? Do you really question everyone before playdates, parties, classes, playground, etc?" I was simply adding a little about my DD's vax status and very curious how parents were keeping their children from non-vaxed children. The first several responses were before you moved the thread to H/M, and they were relevant to my main question. The thread is about children and play dates, classes, etc, not a vaccination debate, and the responses thus far clearly show the same. If it ends up down a wormhole feel free to move it back, but as it stands it should be in the General Parenting Discussion as it's a Parenting issue of whether your child is allowed to interact with certain other children (and if not how do you make/enforce that decision). |
