I want to paint my mud room that is basically black and white (black granite, white cabinets, black/white checkered floor). I have narrowed down my paint colors to Revere Pewter or Bella Mint. Which would you choose? The rest of the house is a taupe color...very basic, but it warms everything up. |

Do the mint. Look it all up on Houzz.com |
I would also choose the Bella Mint for a little pop of color. |
Online Bella Mint looked like Mountain Dew to me. Honestly, Revere Pewter is just another form of taupe. For a green, I'd try Sweet Daphne: http://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/paint-color/sweetdaphne Or BM Palladian or Woodlawn Blue. They will coordinate. |
I don't even have to see it to know I would hate the mint color. Pick anything else! |
I see what you are saying. The Sweet Daphne looks brighter, which is what is drawing me to that shade of green. |
I know. The word mint will throw you off, but it is more of a bright green...not minty at all. |
This picture of Bella Mint looks odd to me:

No more taupe. You can get a subtle color that coordinates and it will be in your laundry room so pretty much any choice is safe. So go for the green if you like it. |
I like this. |
I like the mint actually. |
