support group for parents of students who are chronically ill

This Sat Dec 6th a support / activist group is meeting. The group supports parents of students who need to miss a lot of school and helps them cope with dealing with paperwork, home and hospital, 504 plans, and communication with and accommodations by teachers.

The next PG-PIPS support group meeting will be held this Saturday 12/6/14 at 2:00pm at The Arc of Prince George's County (1401 McCormick Drive, Largo, MD 20774).

PG-PIPS is the parent group specifically for:

parents of children with special medical needs (chronic, acute, mental or physical illness)

AND

for parents of pregnant or parenting teens.

(Both groups of students miss a lot of school and so their issues overlap.)
