I guess it's you prerogative but..,,

Why does the moderator/owner of this site argue with posters? Seems to me that it diminishes the stature of the moderator. But is it part of the appeal to some? And fun for moderator?
Anonymous
Your not you. Sorry.

Because it's his site and he can do whatever he wants with it. DUHHH

I personally like when Jeff chimes in. I may not agree a 100% of the time, but it's well thought out.

Because compensation.

I think I discuss far more than I argue. Maybe if you gave an example I could explain better. If you are talking about the Political Forum, that's entertainment for me.

go back to Reddit, newcomer. We love Jeff.

Not a newcomer. Yes, primarily political forum. And, I usually agree with Jeff, but I find it a bit disconcerting. I value the anonymity of this site and it creeps me out a bit to see Jeff taking on folks that he has some info about.....

Not all of us. I come here less and less, and a large part of that is because the "moderator"
is happy to foster an environment of antagonism toward one particular political party/leaning.

Conservatives are out there. We matter, regardless of how you treat us on your rinky-dink local forum. But I suppose being a big fish in a small pond is all some people have.

Okaaay. the small pond where this forum is set is Washington, DC. Has anyone ever schooled you on what occurs in the small pond of Washington? It's different than, say, what happens in the bigger cities of Chicago or San Antonio. Houston's pond could be (and is?) 20 times as big as DC's pond but no national policy is being made there.

And, you're still a relative newcomer.

OP - I agree. I wish Jeff would sign in as "Anonymous" if and when he wants to participate. I also wish he would not "out" people when asked (i.e., yes, he is the same guy who posted such and such...). It makes me somewhat uncomfortable because while we, the posters, think we are posting anonymously, it really isn't. But DCUM is his sandbox, he can do whatever he wants, I suppose.

Are you able to back up your conservative points? Are you secure in your viewpoints? Then there's no problem.

I am not sure that you know what "anonymous" means. Pointing out that the same "anonymous" posted two messages hardly reveals the poster's identity. Moreover, when have I ever done such a thing when there was not something inappropriate about the posts in question?

I love that I am supposed to be this big meanie who will destroy your life, yet there is thread after thread criticizing me. I must be the least intimidating life-destroyer in history.

I never understood why posters who are supposedly so uncomfortable with what they perceive as Big Brother spying would spend anytime here or even come to this site.
