VT or VCU for premed?

Which one is better?

Well, at VT be careful that you aren't lumped into the same classes as engineers - who are failed out (weeded out) unnecessarily at an alarming rate. VCU will have more seamless premed advising given the med school is right there, but you will be one of many want to be MDs. My guess is VCU may give preference to their own. Are those your only choices? Where will you be the happiest, and therefore, the most motivated?

vcu has access to MCV and their are more focused.

VT engineers do not often get accepted to Med School.

Not sure why this would be an issue, since pre-med students are more likely to major in chemistry, biology, or other life sciences than engineers, who will major in engineering. The classes required for chem, bio, life sciences are completely different than the engineering classes and early requirements.

VT recently entered its first med school class. http://www.vtc.vt.edu/

VCU MCV is way more prestigious than VT.
