| Our daughter is in a play in which there is a scene involving nudity on the part of one of the other performers. Should we take a pass or should we leave our 12 and 16 year olds at home> |
| I might take the 16 year old but not the 12 year old. Depends on the kids. |
| What play? |
| I am okay with nudity in art. Our very religious school goes on a field trip to an art museum that has lots of nudity. |
at a college play, in the company of their parents might be an ideal place for kids to first publicly experience nudity. |
| What is un-Christian about nudity in art? |
|
There is a difference between seeing a portrait/painting and a live nude person on stage. Some people see art, some people just see naked people. Kids, in particular, are likely to have the whole nudity as art aspect fly right over their little heads.

| Isn't your daughter part of your "Christian family" Why is she in the play if it would be against her family values. |
|
|
God made our bodies. I don't understand what is "Christian" about being anti-nudity.
If your question is about whether it is inappropriate for your children, what is the play? |
|
| Why are you on DCUM asking this question? Shouldn't you consult your pastor and the Bible? |
|
This thread baffles me.
Why do you need to ask people on this fucked up forum for permission? |
|
Short answer: no
Long answer: what play is this and why can't you manage to make this decision on your own? |
| How do you feel? Why do you let others dictate your belief system? |
