Woke up to a messy kitchen that I just cleaned because my father decided to make himself (and only himself) something to eat. I swear, that man can make a huge mess cooking the simplest meal. At least he made coffee.

Families are annoying. It's part of the fun. Roll with it and enjoy!

Be thankful he doesn't live with you?

I would tell my father to clean up after himself! However most of the time I don't have to, because he's quite a neat-freak.

Hang in there, OP!

Sounds like my exchange student.

Be thankful he's not in the hospital disoriented like mine is today. You'll miss his messiness when he's no longer there to make one #memories

One time, my perfectly sane and half deaf father woke up at around three AM and decided to watch football while making one of his "famous banana smoothies" for everybody in the blender. Despite the fact that half the family woke up, saw him, and yelled at him, he denied having done it in the morning. The smoothies, however, were delicious.

This is hilarious.

Yeah, like you never made a mess that he had to clean up, ever in your life. How selfish you sound.

You laugh, you clean, you INVITED HIM. Come on now, he cleaned up your messes for years.

Just enjoy his presence! He did a lot of cleaning for you (and much more) when you were younger. My dad is so far away in another country, and my husband's dad died 12 years ago. So enjoy his visit, and then clean the kitchen after he leaves.
